This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies BlissLyng uses, what each one is for, and how you can control them. It covers blisslyng.com, your dashboard, and the storefronts and bio pages we host for creators.
Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device. Similar technologies — local storage, session storage and pixels — work the same way. We group ours into three buckets: strictly necessary, preferences, and analytics.
These make the platform work and cannot be switched off. They keep you signed in (session and authentication cookies), protect forms against cross-site request forgery, remember the contents of your shopping cart through checkout, and carry a referral code when you arrive from an affiliate link. Without them, sign-in, checkout and security protections break.
These remember choices you make so the site feels the same on your next visit: light or dark theme, your display currency, dismissed banners and notices, and cookie-consent choice itself. They hold no personal data beyond the preference.
We measure traffic to understand which pages and links work — page views, clicks, approximate country, device type and referrer. We use privacy-respecting first-party measurement and do not sell this data or use it to build advertising profiles about you.
Creators can add their own tracking to their bio pages and storefronts — for example Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel or TikTok Pixel. Those cookies are set by that creator under their own privacy policy, and BlissLyng does not control them. If you have questions about tracking on a specific store, contact that creator.
Our payment gateways (Paystack, Flutterwave, Stripe, PayPal and others) may set their own cookies during checkout to process payments and detect fraud. These are governed by each provider's privacy policy and are required to take payment safely.
When you first visit you can accept all cookies or keep only the essential ones. You can change your mind any time by clearing the "bl-cookie-consent" preference in your browser and reloading the page. Every browser also lets you block or delete cookies in its settings — note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop sign-in and checkout from working.
Session cookies disappear when you close your browser. Persistent cookies last from a few days (cart recovery) up to a year (theme, currency and consent choices). Referral cookies follow the affiliate credit window set by the platform.
